• In all cases, the neck of the diffuser is reduced by a Neck Reducing Adaptor with a reduced air quantity and particularly in VAV applications where the air 'dribbles' out of the centre of the diffuser face and, because of lost projection velocity, 'dumps' from the centre of the diffuser with no co-ander effect to hold the air pattern to the ceiling.
• By using the Variflow Centre Blanking Plates, the core of the diffuser is progressively blanked off first by blanking off the centre 'cone' of the Diffuser face, then the next size cone, then the next.
• This forces the air to exit the peripheral slot only, thus retaining the projection velocity to get the correct flow and inducing the co-ander effect of the ceiling to retain the air pattern.
